Local Restaurants

Things are finally starting to open up again after COVID-19 more or less shut everything down. Here in Abilene most restaurants are open back up at 50% capacity, letting us finally be able to eat out again! I don’t know about you, but I was really missing getting out and going to eat at all of my favorite restaurants. We ordered in a few times, but only a few restaurants were doing that and it just isn’t the same as going out to eat. There was some human interaction that I was really missing. 

Everything being closed down and everyone staying home due to the virus was not easy on all of the local businesses,  restaurants included - so I thought I would give a list of local restaurants that are open and ready to feed you! Please consider supporting them right now! I know that fast food can be easy and convenient, but supporting the local economy right now is important. 💗

Hello all! This month is dysautonomia awareness month! Now this is probably where you're saying dys-auto-what? Using an HD setting powder / a setting powder with flashback to an event/occasion using flash photography You have to be careful with setting powders when you are going to be taking pictures. If you watch beauty YouTubers, you may remember James Charles’ “Flashback Mary” situation as he likes to call it. There are a lot of setting powders that will cause flashback when taking photos with flash, or in other words, creating a white cast in the picture.  Now here are a few ways that you can try to prevent this from happening. Stay away from HD setting powders when you know that you are going to be getting photos taken. Always look at reviews before buying the powder, learn from other's experiences! Give it a test run beforehand - especially if it is for your wedding or something important as that. 2021 Summer Recap

  Hello all, it’s been awhile. I was just looking and saw that I have not made a post since May! It’s hard to believe that it was that long ago that I was compiling the list of movie recommendations for y’all (link to there here). There definitely would not have been such a long break had I been feeling better. Summers are consistently pretty hard for me. Part of my POTS is that I have a hard time regulating my body temperature, so me and the heat don’t really get along.  Some little things about this summer that seems worth sharing: In May I turned 24! We went to Denton Valley for my birthday and got some fresh pro duce for my dad to cook out on the grill,  and some other goodies from their store. I also updated my drivers license, and now it is the grownup horizontal one! I got allergy tested and we learned that I’m pretty much allergic to everything outside in Texas. My Mom LIVED at a Haunted School

  It is the beginning of Spooky season! I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for cooler weather, changing leaves, and watching Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown on repeat. To kick off Halloween season 2021 I’ve got a fun story for all of you! Whereas folklore and urban legends are always fun, my favorite stories are the ones where there is a personal connection. So you already know from reading the title, this is the story of my mom living at a haunted school when she was a kid. Now I do have to admit, the things that were attributed to the hauntings happened mostly in the years after she lived there, but not all.
